Pacquiao Still Focus on Training Despite Distractions; Bradley is As Focus As Ever

It’s been a bumpy week for Manny Pacquiao with all the anti-gay sentiments having aired in the past few days. With the upcoming Bradley vs. Pacquiao fight looming over the corner, both Pacquiao and Bradley doesn’t want to get involve in another distraction or two.

While Pacquiao is busy with some distractions happening in his camp this week, Timothy Bradley on the other hand is as focus as an eagle for his upcoming fight with Pacquiao next month.

“Everything is going good, man,” Bradley said during an interview with Chris Robinson.

Bradley has already talked with Joel Diaz, and according to the trainer, Bradley did over 115 rounds of sparring. The numbers are high enough for a fighter training that hard as Pacquiao is worth the preparation when it comes to the sport of boxing.

Paquiao Gets Mauled By Anti-Gay Sentiments

The boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao together with his associates is under heavy scrutiny as they tried to quell sentiments made by a writer about Pacquiao’s stand on same sex marriage. In a recent article on Examiner.com, PAcquiao opposed President Obama’s support with regards to same sex marriage.

The article include that Pacquiao quoted a bible verse from Leviticus that goes “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to deathl their blood will be on their own heads.”

Many publications quickly catch-up  with the story, stating that the verse was quoted from Pacquiao attributing his anti-gay sentiments.  Pacquiao said in a phone interview in Wednesday that he never have quoted any verse from Leviticus but still remained his stand with anti-gay marriage.

Bradley’s Ready for Pacquiao Fight; Pacquiao Keeps Mum on Mayweather’s Retirement

As Pacquiao pushes through with his training in the Wild Card Gym, Bradley on the other hand watched Lamont Peterson’s  fight with Amir Khan that left him curious and confused at the same time.

Bradley who is schedule for 12 rounds with the Pacquiao vs Bradley fight couldn’t believe what happen to Peterson during his positive results in a recently concluded test. Peterson who couldn’t be so careless has taken illegal substance of synthetic testosterone that has long been banned in Nevada.

Bradley who lives solely on a vegan diet and lifestyle tried to stay away from anything that could likely trigger for a positive drug test.

With regards to his training, Bradley is more focused on his mental preparation with Pacquiao other than his physical work as he gets ready for his biggest fight in his career.

Bradley Trains Like a Madman for Pacquiao Fight

In the past few weeks, Bradley is training like mad in the desert heat of Palm Springs as he faces Manny Pacquiao this coming June.  Bradley who faces his biggest fights in his career has been training like a madman that this trainers have even begged him to stop for a break. With just less than a month before the Bradley vs Pacquiao fight, time with training is crucial for the success of a fight.

Bradley’s chief trainer Joel Diaz told the Desert Sun, that Bradley didn’t even take a day off until eventually the fighter agreed to “slow down on Saturdays and take Sundays off.”

As soon as Bradley took a break during the weekends he immediately felt the effect.

“I finally made him realize that he has to slow down on Saturdays and take Sundays off. He did it last week, and on Monday he looked spectacular.”

Roach: Bradley Will Share Hatton’s Fate

Here’s another fact for the books, and that is Bradley will fall like Hatton.  While Pacquiao put Hatton in under three rounds way back in 2009, Roach believes that this old trick will be repeated once the Bradley vs Pacquiao happens.

According to Roach, Pacquiao’s trainer Bradley fights recklessly and aimlessly pretty much the same as Ricky Hatton.

“He fights just like Hatton with a stronger chin,” Roach said. “He thinks he’s the best conditioned boxer in the world. He’s all muscle. I don’t think he’ll come lighter than Manny,” added Roach.

Bradley has already topped the scales from 138 to 140 pounds in just eight of his last nine outings.

Roach even shares his thought on how Bradley was doing and believes that not much power has been exerted in his fist as well as his footwork never changes.
